MileHiCon Masquerade

It’s interesting to see how folks will dress at Science Fiction Convention.  Even if they aren’t going to compete some folks are really inspired.  I used a Rogue Flashbender soft box to create nice soft light for this one.

Folks who are driven by what they do…

From the previous post, you can see that I spent some time at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest.  The picture below shows one of the better (if not the best) reel to reel decks made or refurbished today.  It was inspiring to see all of those folks driven to make the best product that they could make.  It did remind me a bit of what my RMSP classmates said about one of the photo classes.  He said that it was great to see all of us in the class who thought of nothing but photography for the week.  Or as I would say, driven to make the best pictures we enviisioned.

Rocky Mountain Audio Fest

Rocky Mountain Audio Fest has started.  There are many interesting products and people to photograph.  And if you want to enhance your system, it’s a great place to gather info.  I was using the the RoundFlash ring for this picture….

Sunset on Kebler Pass

Below is the sunset I captured on Kebler Pass.  Oddly enough I had changed memory cards to one of my new 1000x cards and the old memory card reader had scrambled it.  I had to resort to image rescue 4 to save this one.

16th Street Mall/Fall in Colorado

There are camera shy people and ones who are not.  I ran across these ladies on my way to lunch on the 16th mall downtown today.  They were dancing to the music, and happened to notice I had a camera.

Crested Butte Fall Colors

Went out this weekend and did a destination with Illuminate Workshops and a crew of really great workshop participants.  While we got snow Friday night while we trying to shoot a sunset, it added a wonderful coating of snow, which helped  making really wonderful pictures.  Here’s an example of Efrain Cruz and a fellow student in the snow storm Friday night.  And yes if you click on the image you can see the snowflakes…
