The kindness of the local folks

Last month I went to Rocky Mountain National Park.  I stopped by the visitor center, and was chatting with the fellow at the front desk.  Which was a good thing, because he made finding the path to alluvial fan much easier to find.  I used Vari-ND filter on this so I could get my exposure time where I wanted for this shot.  I understand that this was a much larger waterfall, but in 1982 it shifted.

Mikes Camera

Yesterday at the zoo, Mikes Camera had one of the demo days there.  It was interesting to try out some of Nikon’s serious telephoto offerings.  Not anything I will buy, but may rent if the need occurs.  Here’s a picture taken with one at the flamingo pool.

Day at the Zoo

One of the things that you find at the Denver Zoo, is that some of the wildlife feels safe enough to wander the lawns.  The fellow below felt safe, but I was watching a toddler being held back by his parent so he wouldn’t have a more personal experience.
